Hi, Are there any known bugs that would prevent this function working with Aquaterm - I've got a couple of programs that use it that worked fine on a linux box, but no dice on OS X. No apparent error messages, just ends up with nothing displayed in the plotting window apart from the axis. If anyone can definitely state whether or not this function works for them i'd appreciate it. Regards, Dave

This post is a short overview of a dozen Unix-like operating system command line tools which can be useful for data science tasks. The list does not include any general file management commands (pwd, ls, mkdir, rm, ...) or remote session management tools (rsh, ssh, ...), but is instead made up of utilities which would be useful from a data science perspective, generally those related to varying degrees of data inspection and processing. They are all included within a typical Unix-like operating system as well.
Other minor bug fix
Back in , add the following methods right after viewDidLoad():

Would you care to provide a screenshot? I'd like to add it to the gallery of applications using AquaTerm. > > So I was thinking of doing some simple gui stuff using it. > I would like for example to be able to draw two circles > (or two images) and den when I drag a drop from one > to another to draw a line connecting those two. Have a look at the eventdemo1.c file for a simple example of how to use events to create a clickable menu. It should provide a starting point. The PGPLOT plotting library (which has C and Fortran APIs) support events from AquaTerm so you might be able to do something with that. PGPLOT may also be used from perl through pgperl, see > Will the aquaterm would be a good choice? Probably not the best choice for general GUI programming... Hope this helps, Per
